PHD offers a variety of services related to specific customer's needs. Examples are:

PharmAssist Program top

Our new program called PharmAssist provides a consultation with a registered pharmacist who will help the senior determine the most cost effective means to get their prescriptions filled. The pharmacist and her staff can look at the various programs offered by the drug companies, and enroll the patient in the eligible programs. She will also advise the patient on which local pharmacies have the best prices on the patient's drugs. Click here for more information.

Clinical Trials Update top

Several IPA offices have responded to our survey on performing clinical trials. We’ve created a Clinical Research Assessment Tool that we’re using to develop our clinical trials database. Click here to access the assessment tool.

PHARMACY MANAGEMENT top

PHD offers a variety of services related to specific customer's needs. Examples are:

  • Analysis of pharmacy benefit design, proposal development and implementation for Managed Care Organizations.
  • Oversight and management of Drug Utilization Review Programs — including overall program operations, development of initiatives relating to patient- specific DUR, physician profiling and patient educational programs.
  • Physician Incentive arrangement development.
  • Design and / or oversight of pharmaceutical services provided to Hospitals, Long Term Care Facilities, Other Institutional Facilities, and Assisted Living Homes.
  • Drug programs for Employers to: evaluate their costs, write requests for pharmacy proposals, design reporting packages, and help with benefit design.
  • Pharmacy Services Audits: Audit and review of all aspects of pharmacy services related to controlled substance management, delivery, administration, record keeping and disposition.
  • Contractual Auditing and Analysis: Rebate audits determine if the contractual amount of rebates have been appropriately paid to clients based on terms between the PBM and drug manufacturers.
  • Disease Specific Programs tailored to that client’s needs.
  • Compliance programs for pharmaceutical companies.
  • Development and/or implementation of Physician and/or Patient Education quality studies in partnership with pharmaceutical companies.
